Best of 2016

Happy New Year! 🎉

Last year was full of adventures so I’ve been looking forward to writing this post. It’s fun for me to look back and recap what we did and think about what we can do more (or less) in the new year.

In 2016, we explored 58 trails in total and 37 of them were new to us. You could say we were busy. 😊 We made lots of happy memories together while doing it. Here is a roundup of some of the most popular posts from last year. I had fun collecting them. I hope you enjoy it!

Now here is my personal list…

Most fun hike:  Mt Waterman

It’s really hard to choose one but I am going with Mt Waterman. This is where we tried out a hammock for the first time. I was careful not to flip us over. Ha! After that, I was hooked then Xena followed. When the weather gets nicer in the spring, we will be hammocking our way from a mountain to a mountain again.

Most challenging hike:  Bridge to Nowhere

Not only it’s little over 10 miles but it has a lot of obstacles. Lots of stream crossing and the heat exposure put this hike on the top of our challenging hike list. We hiked in May and September and it was easier in September with low stream level but the heat was still a factor.

Most fun writing:  Whatever Wednesday series

It’s always fun to write about random thoughts and ideas. 🙂
