Lots of memories were made in 2015! It was filled with all sizes and shapes of adventures. Some of them were near home and some were from road trips. We explored 20 new trails this year and also hiked our familiar trails in Los Angeles county.
I’d like to thank all my blog followers for following our little adventures and for your likes, comments and encouraging words. They all meant a lot to me so I sincerely Thank You.
As we are wrapping up 2015, I figured I’d do a roundup of some of the most popular posts on my blog from this year. I had fun collecting the info. I hope you enjoy it!

Most Fun Hike: Castle Rock
Xena loved this hike! So this was the most fun hike for me too. This less than 3 mile hike had everything you need for an adventure. I think the pictures show.
Most Challenging Hike: Montecito Peak
In little over 3 miles, you gain 2243 feet but that’s not why this was the most challenging hike. The last 1/4 mile or so to the peak was very steep on a unstable terrain. To a person with acrophobia, this is a nightmare. At the peak, we found a 4-5 foot long snake skin. Yikes. To make the matters worse, I left the energy bars in the car by accident. My sister and I had to hike with an empty stomach last 2 miles or so. It was long 2 miles ever. In hindsight, it’s funny that it was my birthday. 🙂
Most Fun Writing: Whatever Wednesday series
Random thoughts and ideas come to me to share on my blog often but I had brushed them off before because they were not related to hiking or trails. As with everything in life, things evolve. People, relationships, knowledge, nature, etc. That’s only natural. So why not my blog. I should share whatever I want to share with my readers. It’s my blog after all. I have been and I will continue to share whatever topic tickles my mind in this series.
Thanks for following us throughout the year and cheers to more adventures in 2016!
