Ingredients:
- 1/4 c (organic) steel cut oats
- 1 tbsp (organic) chia seeds
- 1 tsp (organic) matcha green tea powder
- 1 c (organic) soy milk
- 1/2 tsp (organic) maple syrup
- 1/8 c chopped unsalted dry roasted almonds
- 1 tsp golden raisins
I use my lunch crock food warmer to make this oatmeal but you can make it on a stove.
Add first 5 ingredients in to the food warmer. Whisk gently until the green tea powder is dissolved in to the liquid. Plug in the crock food warmer then go for a walk or check your emails.
Cooking time: 1 hour
Add almonds and raisins and enjoy!
Where do you get matcha green tea powder?
You can get it from Amazon.com. Enjoy!
If you are in a hurry, I got mine from Whole Foods market. I got the DoMatcha Organic, ceremonial grade. But the prices are better in Amazon.
Thanks Arlene! I have culinary grade as I use it mostly as an ingredient in my cooking and baking (this I plan to do :)). Love matcha!
This looks interesting! I’d never thought to combine the green tea flavour with oats. Now I’m curious. Assuming the oats are not contaminated with traces of gluten, it would be a good meal for someone like me who is gluten intolerant. Thanks for the idea! 🙂
Sure thing, Jane! Leave it to the Asians. We can make anything in the green tea flavor. 😉
