Friends come in different sizes, colors and breeds. They have their own personality and interests. Your interaction with one friend is different from the one with another friend but they are equally special.

Some friends like to run with you.
Some like to wrestle with you.
Some like to just hang out with you.
Some like to fetch balls with you.
And some are more affectionate than others.

Friends are always happy to see you. They enjoy your company. They respect your personal boundaries and give you space when you need it. They admire your strength and embrace your weakness. You can let your guard down and be yourself. They get protective when you feel scared and let you know that you are not alone by barking with you even if you are barking at an empty plastic bag floating in the air. They become part of your pack. They become part of your extended family. ♥

Friendship… is not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.

    1. I am glad… Sometimes, you have to go through a hardship to know who your true friends are. True friends reach out to you when you are going through a tough time when others disappear. That’s what I recently experienced so I wanted to write about it. Thanks for reading my blog, Alexis! 🙂
