Hey guys, today we are kicking off a new series, Feature Friday!

In this series, I am going to feature dog-friendly blogs or small businesses that I believe they need a little spotlight moment so more people can learn about what they do and why they do them. All of the guests will be whom I’ve had interaction with online through multiple social media channels and my blog. I am constantly inspired by their positive energy. Hope they inspire you too!

Today, we are starting off this wonderful series with Pawcasso Paint Your Pet located in beautiful San Diego, CA!

When I asked Stephanie, owner of Pawcasso Paint Your Pet, why she started her business, this is what she shared with me.

I started Pawcasso because I was seeing all of the Paint and Sip businesses and thought that they looked like a lot of fun, but I never really felt a lot for the types of paintings that were being done. They’re nice, but nothing that really compelled me. So then I thought, I am a professional animal portrait artist and I have a lot of experience painting pets.

People LOVE their pets; who wouldn’t feel connected to a painting of their own fur-kid? And I know the ins & outs of creating fur textures and patterns and how to make a pet look like itself, so I am able to teach it. I cannot tell you how much I love to help someone recreate their pet on canvas and see how excited they get.

People leave my classes knowing exactly where they are going to hang their painting when they get home. And so many of my students do paintings of pets that are no longer with them. These memorial portraits are so therapeutic and healing, and at the end of the class, they have a tangible memento of their pet to cherish.

Guys, the first time I read this, I got goosebumps! I could feel her passion because she spoke from her heart. The positive impact, sometimes even therapeutic, she makes in her students’ life is inspirational! That’s why I chose to share Pawcasso with you this month.
