Teacup Trail to Coffeepot Rock is a moderately trafficked loop trail located near Sedona, Arizona. This hike offers a scenic view and is kid-friendly. It’s a nice little hiking option when you don’t have hours to explore.
This hike starts from the Sugarloaf trailhead that is located on Buena Vista Dr. The parking lot is small. Unless you go early, it will be most likely full. The good news is, there is plenty of free street parking in the residential area near the trailhead.

The Teacup trail is well-maintained and easy to follow. There are other trails nearby that you can add-on to extend the hike if you’d like. For example, you can add another short easy hike such as Sugarloaf Loop and check out the Sugarloaf Mountain which sits at 4,911 ft (1497 m) of elevation. Sugarloaf Loop hike is 2.2 miles long and gains 580 feet. You will have a couple of opportunities to add this hike from the Teacup Trail.

To reach the Coffeepot Rock, stay on the Teacup Trail.

Once you get to this junction, the trail splits into 3 different ways. To your right, that is Sugarloaf Loop Trail again and the trail that continues onto a downhill is Teacup Trail. Take the Middle Teacup Trail on your left instead and leave the high traffic area behind.
Note there are no trail signs here but the path is pretty easy to follow. You will be hiking mostly on rock. Keep going towards the Coffeepot Rock.

Middle Teacup Trail offers a vast view of Sedona to the east and the beautiful Red Rock Wilderness that surrounds the town. Not much elevation gain here so there are no steep slopes to be concerned with. Middle Teacup Trail eventually intersects with Skidmark Trail which is on the rock itself.

Since this is a short hike, I planned two hikes for that day. After this hike, we grabbed lunch then headed over to Cathedral Rock. Stay tuned for a hiking guide for this awesome hike!
