Coral Pink Sand Dunes

Coral Pink Sand Dunes

During our road trip to Utah, Xena and I spent a couple of hours at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. Since it was close to sunset, there wasn’t much of OHV (off-highway vehicles) activity on the dunes and we only saw a few people wandering sparsely on the dunes. When we were alone, I let Xena free to roam.

I’ve wanted to see this place for a while and I was not disappointed. As the sun began to set, the sand dunes started to show off its beautiful coral pink color. It was so pretty.

The superfine soft sand felt like a fluffy comfy blanket. I couldn’t contain the inner child in me anymore. I ran down the hill screaming from pure joy. Xena thought it was funny and instantly joined in the fun. We ran around aimlessly until I was out of breath. We sat and watched the glowing sands instead for a while and admired the beauty surrounded us.

I absolutely loved our visit. Since then, I added a couple more sand dune locations to my adventure bucket list.

Here are some photos from our trip that showcases this place.

  1. What a different environment for Xena. Looks like she (and you) enjoyed it. Nice light and shadow effects in the photos! Thx.

    1. Thank you, Mike! We sure did. I found Southern Utah beautiful everywhere you look any time of the day. But of course, it’s stunning during the golden hour. I am making plans to get out there with Z this fall. 🙂

  2. This is gorgeous! I’ve never been anywhere that looks like this. I think my dog would love visiting sand dunes!
