I joined a beginner’s group hike with Jamie and had a great experience. She kept the pace just challenging enough to keep me feeling like I was moving more intentionally than just a casual walk. The location was beautiful, and Jamie kept the group engaged and upbeat. She was also completely aware of all the members and what their exertion levels were. Before the hiking day, she sent instructions laying out the hike timeline, what to expect in terms of terrain and temperature, and what supplies to bring. I felt completely informed and prepared. As someone who loves to hike but needs the motivation to go, hiking with Jamie has been incredibly rewarding. I really enjoy how her hikes take me to new areas throughout Los Angeles and greater Southern California, to spots I didn’t even know were in our backyard!
She is extremely thoughtful and organized in her communications and planning and ensures her group is prepared with detailed directions, packing instructions, supply tips, etc., and really simplifies the process by offering group hike packages!
Since my job entails long hours inside an office, I find hiking with Jamie in the mountains has really benefitted me mentally and physically; it’s been an effective way to de-stress, exercise, meet new people, and make new friends. I can even bring my dog who loves it just as much as I do!

Our group of colleagues went on a five-mile adventure with them at a quaint park in Orange County and it was the highlight of our whole year so far! We knew we would enjoy it but were blown away by just how MUCH we enjoyed it!
It was an amazing team building. Jamie combined multiple trails to create her own special route that we could not have duplicated on our own. Each twist and turn had its own beauty.

I first started hiking with Jamie as a way to get fit in a more natural and fun way than a traditional gym workout. I was an avid hiker in my 20’s completing some arduous hikes like the Narrows and Angel’s Landing, but now that I’m in my 40’s I needed to find a safe way to explore local trails with my little pups.
Her guided, dog-friendly hikes were a great fit and the more I hiked, the more I sought more distant and challenging trails. Jamie suggested that I look into the Climb for Heroes on Mt. Baldy – a dog-friendly and family-friendly 11-mile roundtrip summit hike in support of wounded veterans. It sounded like a great cause and exactly the right kind of challenge to work toward.
I spent the next year taking gradually longer and more strenuous hikes with Jamie, including peak-bagging at elevation, to train for the summit hike at Baldy. There are 5 base camps on the way to the summit at 10,064 feet, and I was determined to make it all the way to the summit. With the training and encouragement I received from Jamie, not only did I make it to the summit, I was among one of the first groups to make it there and was treated to a flyover by the Blue Angels. It was truly one of the most extraordinary physical and mental accomplishments I have experienced, and I’m so grateful to Jamie for showing me what I was capable of achieving and for believing in me.

I attended a hike in Palos Verdes. It was a unique and fun experience. I loved Jamie’s energy during the hike, she makes everyone feel included.
