The Korean Bell of Friendship was a gift from South Korea to the United States in 1976 to further the friendship and trust between the two nations. The bell, which weighs 17 tons, was cast in Korea then shipped to the U.S. The pavilion which houses the bell was constructed by Korean craftsmen in the traditional Korean architectural
